Sewing Machines Institute offers expert instruction and support for repairing all brands of sewing machines. As an educational outreach of Castle Christian (501c3), the Institute was founded to address the pressing demand for skilled sewing machine technicians, providing comprehensive training to meet this need.

Castle Christian
The corporation is established as a church dedicated solely to religious, charitable, and educational pursuits, as defined under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 (or any corresponding future U.S. revenue law). Its mission encompasses a wide range of activities, including, but not limited to, fostering and sustaining religious worship; constructing, maintaining, and operating churches, parsonages, schools, radio and television stations, rescue missions, print shops, day-care centers, camps, nursing homes, and cemeteries; and creating other religious, charitable, or educational institutions that align with its tax-exempt objectives. Additionally, the corporation is committed to supporting missionary efforts both within the United States and abroad, as well as pursuing any other lawful, nonprofit purposes permitted under Texas state law, provided they are not expressly prohibited for corporations.
Dr. David Trumble
Educator, Minister, Technician, Businessman, and Author.
Dr. David Trumble—educator, minister, technician, businessman, and author—founded the Sewing Machines Institute to address a critical need for skilled sewing machine technicians. Drawing on his diverse experience, which includes teaching 4th grade, serving as a Reading Specialist, and instructing college courses in Maryland, he established this educational initiative under Castle Christian (501c3). A dedicated Christian Church Minister since 1975, with a doctorate from International Bible Seminary earned in 1985, Dr. Trumble has also served churches in Georgetown, Texas since 1992. His extensive background as a writer, with over 25 books and articles in publications like Christian Standard, Leadership Magazine, and Christianity Today, reflects the passion and expertise he brings to leading the Institute.
Jeremiah Trumble
Lead Instructor & Master Technician
Jeremiah honed his skills from a young age, assisting his father with sewing machine repairs for their family’s home business. Since the age of fourteen, he has been actively involved in the family-owned sewing machine stores, delivering exceptional sales and service with expertise rooted in hands-on experience. Now, as the Owner of the Sew and Quilt stores, Jeremiah brings over 25 years of industry experience and an extraordinary depth of knowledge to his craft, solidifying his reputation as a true master in the field.
