Needle Bar Height

The needle bar must be adjusted to the correct height to enable the needle to be positioned for the hook. Loop lift is the position of the needle when the thread forms a loop on the back of the needle. At loop lift, the point of the hook must pass behind the needle, above the eye, within the scarf, and as close to the needle as possible without touching. To alter the position of the needle bar height, look for the clamp about half way up the needle bar.
